QEM 623 - Organizational Excellence


 

Course Description

This course is a part of the Master Program of "Quality Engineering and Management", offered by the Mechanical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering. It main objective is to build the understanding of fundamental concepts of organizational excellence and their applications in modern organizations. Topics include review of fundamental concepts of Total Quality management, Pillars of organizational excellence; Excellence models awards, Deming Quality prize, Malcolm Baldrige Award, King Abdul-Aziz Quality Award, ISO 9001:2015 standards, Local organizational excellence awards, and Case studies.

Policy grading

Students enrolled in the course should be aware of the university policy regarding attendance to lectures and tutorials. During the semester you should attend all classes according to your schedule, do your home works,  the research questions and projects. They should be submitted to the instructor  on time.
