ME 418 - Quality in Manufacturing


 

Course Description

The main purpose of this course is to provide the student with a clear and thorough understanding of advanced methods used in quality improvement in manufacturing . The course covers the following subjects :  Introduction to principles and philosophies of total quality management; Advance methods for process control, Six sigma approach to quality, Quality function deployment (QFD) and Taguchi approach to quality, and Parameter Optimization.

Policy grading

Students enrolled in the course should be aware of the university policy regarding attendance to lectures and tutorials. During the semester you should attend all classes according to your schedule, do your home works,  the research questions and projects. They should be submitted to the instructor  on time.
