ME 201 - Dynamics


 

Course Description

The main purpose of this course is to provide the student with a clear and thorough presentation of the theory and application of engineering mechanics through studies of the Dynamics aspects; The dynamics course which is a continuation of the Statics course (CE 201), will cover the following topics: Kinematics of rectilinear and curvilinear motion of particles.  Kinematics of rotation and plane motion of rigid bodies.  Dynamics of particles and systems of particles.  Work and energy relations.  Impulse and momentum principles.  Dynamics of rigid bodies in plane motion.

The course is mainly based on brief presentation of the theory and extensive applications in the various fields of engineering.
